The next action- SENS6 Conference

Very soon the group of young Russian scientists will participate in the significant world-wide SENS6 conference (September 3-7 in Cambridge UK).
This event brings together scientists, students, journalists from different countries in order to share their research experience and new ideas associated with the age-related issues.
Also, I want to mention a promising young Russian scientist Anastasia Shindyapina as an active conference member which will represent a significant research group project "Mineralization of the connective tissue: a complex molecular process leading to age-related loss-of-function". In addition, this research is a very important step in order to improve the elasticity loss and regenerative potential.
The young scientific group led by Anastasia Shindyapina have achieved a successful result - published work Rejuvenation Research.
I am sure that SENS6 Conference will easily cover all needs from age-related ideas supply to beneficial meetings and comfortable conditions.

About us

«Science can be introduced to children well or poorly. If poorly, children can be turned away from science; they can develop a lifelong antipathy; they will be in a far worse condition than if they had never been introduced to science at all».                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Isaac Asimov

I have been specializing in developmental biology study and genetics for the last 4 years to present day.

My scientific interests focus on the biogerontology problems associated with the lifespan extension achievement. From the first scientific  experience development I understand that aging research is a very complex science field including various issues starting from    aging genetics finished with oncology treatments and in my opinion in order to achieve life extension it is necessary to use a multidisciplinary approach.
In my view it is essential to «create» new independent investigators who will utilize contemporary genetic and molecular genetic techniques to investigate the underlying mechanisms of aging. The tools for the molecular genetic approach to the pathobiology of aging are becoming increasingly rich and diverse. I believe that this focus for gerontological research will be applied with increasing success.

I also think that together with technological advances in genetics, a new approach to drug development is absolutely necessary. I suppose drugs may delay many of age-related diseases and be used long term by all people.
In addition to the above mentioned while drug-based therapies will continue to play a significant role in the treatment of disease, cell-based therapies are increasingly being utilized to enhance or replace damaged tissues and organs, create a roadmap appropriated for engineering aging research to extend lifespan, repair living cells in situ leading to the new modern and promising step - rejuvenation biotechnologies development.

I hope that due to common activities and advanced technologies people will be able to think positively about aging and gain a better perspective on ways to live as productively and as long as we can.
